I’m Sheila Mahusay, an Ovo-vegetarian who loves to share common yet often ignored principles of health. I love to study and stay close to nature. I am mother of 4 adorable kids namely Gabriel (5 years old), Abigail (4 years old), Rachel (3 years old) and Angel (2 years old). Aside from taking care of these gorgeous kids, I never forget to write – my ultimate passion.
How I started to love Health Reform
In my 24 years of existence, I have never been interested in health reform. Not until I met again a schoolmate in high school named Joefrey (health-attentive person) who became my inspiration ( and my beloved husband too) to love health reformation. Back then I started to learn a few principles of health that I never cared before. And I started to be more attentive and vigilant on the things that are harmful or beneficial to my body.
A Good Reason to Rely on Nature
When we had our first child, Gabriel at 2011 my interest in nature’s healing properties intensifies. Gabriel had his first febrile seizure at 9 months. And he had recurrent seizures every time he has a high fever (38°C). Yes, it was really horrible! Doctors explain to us his case was a complex febrile seizure. My son had shots of phenobarbitals. And because we investigate of its side effects, my husband and I decided to stop bringing him to the hospital every time he has febrile seizure unless it’s really needed. Since we knew that he is sensitive to synthetic medicines I have learned to rely on natural remedies. And so far, with the help of the Almighty, I have found out that nature is always the best to trust and rely upon because of their limitless and powerful healing properties.
I Love Vegetarian Diet
Two years ago, I decided to adopt a vegetarian diet. Particularly, an Ovo-vegetarian since I still sometimes use eggs in my meal plans. I and my husband Joefrey also love to apply the importance of NEWSTART (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest and Trust in God) principle for optimum health.
Apart from that, I also love to apply natural remedies on most of our encountered illness including my kids. And these are what I’d like to share with you in this blog.
